In October 2014, Joe and I were slowly preparing for the arrival of our twin boys, Thomas and WIllem.  I went into preterm labor and Thomas was born on October 12, 2014 at 24 weeks and WIllem was born on October 16, 2014.  Both boys fought hard in NICU for a short time.  Willem died on October 17 and Thomas died on October 18.  We left the hospital with empty arms and broken hearts.  Joe and I had the opportunity to spend a weekend at Faith's Lodge a few months after their deaths.  It was so comforting being with other parents who could understand our pain and relate to our grief.  Grief can be extremely isolating and having the opportunity to gather with other parents who are in similar situations made us feel not so alone.  

Soon after their deaths, we knew we wanted to honor our boys in some way while helping others on this painful journey of child loss.  We participated in the Hope Walks & Rolls for Faith's Lodge for the first time last year and really enjoyed it!   It is a family friendly event filled with so much hope.  

Joe, Joey, Natalie, Mae and I would love to see you on Saturday, May 20th for Hope Walks & Rolls!  If you're not able to be there in person, we would appreciate any donation you're able to make.  We appreciate your love and support as we continue to learn to live without Thomas and WIllem and honor their memories!
